WHO?
The camp will be facilitated by Dr. Courtney St. Prix, science teacher at Columbia Middle School, Mr. Jeremy White, Spanish teacher, and Prep School students selected to serve as camp counselors. The camp will be open to all 4th, 5th and 6th grade students at CGPS.
WHAT?
STEAMcity 2023 will be an exploration of various parts of NYC where STEM activities occur on a daily basis. Each day will be a field trip that highlights how STEM impacts our daily lives.
WHERE?
We will meet each day in the PS cafeteria of 36 West 93rd at 9:30 am for a quick orientation, then leave for a field trip to a number of places including the Liberty Science Center, the American Museum of Natural History, the Queens Zoo, theNew York Hall of Science, the Brooklyn bridge, the Intrepid Air and Space Museum, the Science Barge in Yonkers, and the Brooklyn Botanical garden.

WHEN?
The camp will run for two weeks from June 12th to the 23rd. There will be no camp on Monday, June 19th.
We meet each day between 9:00 and 9:30 am returning from our trips by 1:00 pm. From 1-3 pm we de-brief, break up into groups with camp counselors, and engage in various activities (watch a science fiction film, play table tennis, play cards or board games.) Nutritional snacks will be provided! Pick up will be at 3:00 pm sharp.
