WHO?
The camp will be facilitated by Middle School science teacher Dr. Courtney St. Prix, Spanish teacher Jeremy White, history teacher Marc Peters and Prep School students selected to serve as camp counselors. The camp will be open to all fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grade students at CGPS.
WHAT?
STEAMcity 2024 will be an exploration of various parts of NYC where STEM activities occur on a daily basis. Each day will be a field trip that highlights how STEM impacts our daily lives.
WHERE?
We will meet each day in the MS cafeteria on 36 West 93rd at 9:30 a.m. for a quick orientation, then leave for a field trip to a number of places, including the Liberty Science Center, the Bronx Zoo, the New York Hall of Science, Ally Pond Environmental Center and iFly.

WHEN?
The camp will run for one week from June 11 to 14.
We meet each day between 9 and 9:30 a.m., returning from our trips by 1 p.m. From 1 to 3 p.m., we debrief, break up into groups with camp counselors and engage in various activities (watch a science fiction film, play table tennis, play cards or board games). Nutritional snacks will be provided! Pick up will be at 3 p.m. sharp.
Deadline for submitting applications is Friday, May 10, 2024.
This year, the camp will be limited to a total of 40 students — ideally 10 students per grade.
