The older division of the CGPS Summer Camp is open to students entering grades 3, 4 and 5 in the upcoming school year. We offer an interdisciplinary program where all campers can find success in various activities geared specifically for intermediate-aged elementary students. All groups are led by Grammar School teachers.

Campers use air-conditioned classrooms equipped with computers, arts & crafts supplies, libraries, games and more. Facilities include outdoor play yards, a gymnasium/recreation center. 

Camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A typical camper's day may be as follows: choice activity on arrival, followed by a morning project, outdoor fitness and fun games, and lunch. The afternoon may include philanthropy, arts & crafts, STEAM and a closing meeting. Children bring lunches from home, and the camp provides nut-free snacks daily.

Campers will be active in philanthropic projects such as Alex's Lemonade Stand in support of childhood cancer and providing homemade blankets or cards to children in need.

Art projects may involve jewelry making, cartooning, mural making, as well as artist studies or works inspired by various artists.

Students will dive into STEAM projects, such as Scratch, and enjoy building creations in the Maker Space. There will be a talent show, dance parties, Olympics and more!

Campers will improve their physical skills through a variety of sports, fitness and activities. With daily visits to Central Park, campers will engage in active sports, team games and fun activities. Campers will have the opportunity to enjoy the park playgrounds and fields, as well as the School recess yards. 

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. We urge you to register as soon as possible, as we have had groups close out in the past. Full payment, medical forms and the camp waiver must be received by Wednesday, May 20. Children will not be permitted to attend camp with an outstanding balance, incomplete medical information or an unsigned waiver. Deposits are non-refundable. No refunds on full payment will be issued for absences (including absences due to illness), changes, withdrawals or terminations after May 20. Payments made to CGPS for camp are not transferable and cannot be used for other CGPS programs or tuition. Camp fees include all instruction, art materials, gym equipment and daily snacks.
