GS and PS Students Connect in After 3 Social Club

This year, eight Prep Schoolers are volunteering in the Helping Hands program in order to help connect the Upper and Lower Schools. After finishing their classes, the Prep School volunteers help facilitate activities in the After 3 Social Club: an after school program in the Grammar School where students partake in structured and unstructured playtime to support their social skills.

This past week, an eager group of Prep Schoolers joined the After 3 Social Club to lead a number of fun and creative art projects with kindergartners and first graders. They had Thanksgiving-themed fun, drawing and coloring in turkeys. Meanwhile, over on the Upper Yard, a Prep Schooler taught and managed a variety of ball games with third graders. The enthusiasm of the Prep Schoolers in the Helping Hands program is one of the hallmarks of what makes CGPS a particularly welcoming community connected across ages and grade levels.
