MS Pre-Algebra Honors Students Come Together to Solve Challenging Problem

Let’s have a round of applause for Middle School math coordinator Jessica Merrick’s 7-2 Pre-Algebra Honors class! Last Wednesday, the entire class was so engaged in a modular arithmetic assignment that they decided to work together for another 15 minutes after class—during their break time, no less—to solve one particularly challenging problem. "It was really fun to apply a simpler concept learned in math class to a much harder problem assigned. Then, the class can debate over the right answer. I learn a lot from making mistakes," said Josie P. Way to go!

5th Graders Share Inspirational Quotes Reflecting Their Personal Values

Last week, the fifth-graders in Class 5A began their advisory program curriculum for the year with an exercise that invited them to think about the values most important to them. With the guidance of their teacher, Linda Beasley, the students then searched for inspirational quotes that expressed these personal ideals.
