On Sunday, June 12, Columbia Prep scholar-athlete Michael O. ’23 gave an impressive performance during the New York State Federation Boys Golf Championship.
Last weekend, third grade violinist Mireille C. participated in the annual New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) Solo Festival. Each spring, participating student musicians perform a solo piece, play scales and sight-read in front of a NYSSMA adjudicator for a subsequent evaluation. Mireille, who effortlessly performed Gavotte Gavotte from “Mignon” by Lully, blew away her evaluator with her musical prowess and received a perfect score. “Mireille prepared diligently for this audition, which is evident by her results,” said Grammar School Music Coordinator Ardith Collins and strings teacher Maria Jeffers. “We are so proud of her musical accomplishments!” Congratulations, Mireille!
