Columbia Grammar and Prep School seeks an ​outstanding, self-motivated and creative ​Technology Teacher who will help develop an expanding technology curriculum in our Middle School (Grades 5-7). This person will be responsible for teaching weekly technology classes with a focus on coding, robotics, hardware hacking, making, digital design, design thinking, as well as other core and emerging technologies. She or he should have a passion for working with children and a solid understanding of children's social, emotional, and academic developmental stages. This person will work in our newly designed Innovation Lab and also work closely with teachers from our other STEAM focused subject areas.
CGPS seeks an outstanding, student-focused Computer Science Teacher who will help develop an expanding technology curriculum. This person will be responsible for teaching Computer Science and Robotics at the high school level as well as advanced electives in areas such as Mobile Programming, Game Design, and AP Computer Science.
The Math Coordinator works with the Grammar School Director, Assistant Director, Grade-Level Coordinators, Classroom Teachers, Math Specialists, and other colleagues to ensure that the Grammar School Math curriculum is well suited to the CGPS community and meets best practices in math learning. The Math Coordinator position is a full time position charged with supporting all PK to 4th grade classroom teachers. This person will provide essential leadership in developing and maintaining an excellent mathematical program for all of the students and teachers at Columbia Grammar. The Coordinator will focus on enhancing teachers’ ability to provide instruction that builds students’ sense of engagement in the ownership of learning.
