Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School seeks a professional to serve as the Advancement Associate to work closely with all members of the department. The ideal candidate will be proactively engaged in all aspects of the work of the Advancement Office, which includes special events, fundraising, communications, marketing, alumni relations, volunteer management and support, information systems management and related activities that enhance the total voluntary support for the School. This person will be actively engaged on a daily basis with all of the constituents of the School, including current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty, staff and the broad community of colleagues in independent schools in New York City and other NAIS member schools. This individual is expected to be a valued member of the Advancement Office team and work collaboratively with both colleagues and constituents at CGPS.

The Prep School receptionist handles the front desk duties and responsibilities including answering, screening and directing telephone calls, greeting visitors, sorting through mail etc. The uniqueness of the Prep School Receptionist is the importance of keeping track of 600 Prep School students while creating a sense of authority, trust and positive rapport with said students. The receptionist provides assistance to all students, parents, staff members and visitors by either referring or directing them to the appropriate person for assistance.  Position performs various administrative and clerical tasks. The receptionist partners with security staff to carry out the post responsibilities that ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and their families, faculty, staff and visitors.
