Our campus boasts 200,000 square feet for facilities, spread across 12 buildings and three city blocks and steps from Central Park. CGPS features 6,500 square feet of outdoor space for our Grammar School students, a dedicated building and rooftop playgrounds for our Middle Schoolers and plenty of room for cutting-edge innovation in classrooms as well as athletics and arts spaces for Prep Schoolers. Three multi-level recess yards, nestled between our brownstones with a canopy of trees, make up part of the 6,500 square feet of outdoor space available to our GS students every day.
Over 16,000 books and two dedicated librarians make this library a book-lover’s dream.
A state-of-the-art robotics and computer lab with our brand new in-floor projection system providing dynamic, gamified robotics obstacle courses.
A newly-renovated black box theater is dedicated for use by the Middle School, and hosts productions and the MS band and orchestra practice.
An airy haven on the 5th floor of the Middle School building, the library hosts both author visits and seminar-style classes, including the signature CIRS program. Learn more here.
A large space, with beautiful city views, is dedicated entirely to the students in the MS, students have the opportunity for a much-appreciated break for physical activity and socializing during the course of their academic day.

This open space encourages balance and celebrates intergenerational community among the students in grades 9 to 12 who use it as a place to socialize, enjoy snacks and downtime between classes during the course of their academic day.
The 2,300 square foot, two-story library and media center is dedicated to quiet study and research. Computers, laptops and over 20,000 books support the curriculum.
