This year’s National K-12 Chess Championships were replaced by a novel online edition due to COVID. Predictably, the new format presented an array of technical and logistical challenges compared to the annual trip to Florida, but the event was still well-attended and highly competitive. Meanwhile, Hans N.' 21 was abroad confirming his Grandmaster status.

“My experience at CGPS has helped me work on teams, work in different communities and work with a diverse group of people. It has helped me learn more about myself and what I'm interested in, which has helped me with picking majors in college and connecting with people.”

“As an alumna, parent and trustee, CGPS has meant so much to me. I feel tremendous pride in returning as an adult to the School that made me who I am today. As a student, I felt supported and encouraged. Finally, as a parent who has the privilege to serve as a trustee, it is a pleasure to watch all three of my children's personal interests, strengths, and passions nurtured and celebrated."
